Standard (Roller-Type) Electric Film Roller:
Features: This is the most common type, directly driving the film roller shaft via an output shaft.
Applications: Primarily used for side film rolling in solar greenhouses and single-span arched tunnels. Featuring a simple structure and lower cost, it is the most widely adopted model.
Climbing (Push-Pull) Electric Film Rollers:
Features: The unit itself does not rotate. Instead, its rotating output shaft drives a climbing mechanism to move linearly along the film roller rod, thereby pushing or pulling the connected ventilation rod to open or close the roof vent.
Applications: Primarily used for roof venting in multi-span greenhouses. This design offers greater stability and is suitable for large-span, large-area greenhouse roof ventilation.
How to Select the Right Electric Film Roller?
Load and Torque: Choose a model with sufficient torque based on film width, weight, and wind/rain resistance. Insufficient torque may cause motor overload damage. Common specifications include 500N.m, 1000N.m, 1500N.m, etc.
Travel and Film Length: Ensure the maximum travel (i.e., the length of film that can be wound) meets your greenhouse's actual ventilation height requirements. The effective film length for a single roller typically ranges between 50-100 meters.
IP Rating: Greenhouse environments feature high temperatures and humidity, requiring equipment with robust moisture and dust resistance. Select products with an IP54 rating or higher to ensure stable operation in harsh conditions.
Material and Construction: Is the housing made of corrosion-resistant materials like die-cast aluminum? Are the internal gears metal or plastic? This directly impacts the equipment's durability and lifespan.
Braking System: A high-quality film roller must feature a reliable braking system capable of holding the film securely at any position, preventing slippage due to strong winds or its own weight.
Brand and After-Sales Service: Select reputable brands that guarantee timely technical support and spare parts availability.
